As China’s securities market is gradually mature, perfect and open, the competition between enterprises is increasingly fierce. The securities trader, as a large part of employers in the industry, is an important human resource in enterprises. YL Co. urgently needs a team of outstanding securities traders to gain competitive advantages in market competition.This article based on study about the securities traders of YL Co. Firstly, this paper expounds the basic concepts of competency and competency model, the process, methods and tools of constructing competency model, and the combing and summary of the relevant research results at home and abroad; Then, analyzing the securities traders’competency problem and cause, on the basis of ot securities traders’job Posting of other companies in the industry, it is concluded as four aspects of securities traders competency indicators:knowledge skills, interpersonal demands, attitudes, and personal qualities, then by industry experts interview, finally it is concluded that the competency model of the YL company securities traders; Finally, analyzing the application of YL Co. securities traders’ competency model in traders’ recruitment and selection, employee training, and staff career planning, and then combined with YL company actual situation, proposed the problem of securities traders’competency model in practical application.Through building YL Corporation securities trader’ competency model, the purpose of this paper is to determine the competency requirements of the securities trader, constructing complete talent development system for YL Corporation, realize the dynamic and orderly development of talent, thus promote the realization of corporate strategy and business goals.
