The degree of economic globalization has been deepened as the development of economy and society, which leads to the biggerpressure of competition expanded from region to nation, even the whole world. In order to surviving and developing in such a fierce competition, enterprises must respond to the market with greater speed, higher quality and lower cost. And production management is not only the core content of the operation management, but also the key to create value for manufacturing companies. Therefore, it is very important to study the theory and method of the optimization decision of production of the enterprise.This paper focuses on the optimization decision of production plan and scheduling plan which regards production decision of enterprise as the research object under the MTS/MTO hybrid flexible production mode.Firstly, the theory and method of production decision and its support system has been described, which draws forth the analysis of recent research content and status of MTS/MTO hybrid production decision.Secondly, a general main production plan model was set up with the analysis of products under MTS/MTO hybrid flexible production mode. Then the producing period was divided according to the demand time of distribution products and order products and a multi-period production plan model of products was established. The genetic algorithm was modified to solve the model under the analysis of algorithm and factual production situation. In the mean while, the flexible production workshop equipment allocation is optimized by ant colony algorithm. At last the model was solved through the modified algorithm to make the production plan.Thirdly, the calculation method of product earliest start processing time and earliest end processing time were deduced under the analysis of characteristics of MTS/MTO hybrid production scheduling, under which a scheduling plan model was built based on the optimized workshop equipment allocation. To make the multi-period and multi-batch scheduling of multi-product under certain production plan and uncertain decision period, a modified decision model on the scheduling of multi-product that was under modified-distribution equipments of workshop was established, which combined with the characteristics of flexible scheduling and occurrence of longer producing time leaded by improper production batch. Then a mixed searching strategy which combined the superiority of genetic algorithm, ant colony algorithm and complex method was formed to solve the model to make the best scheduling. Finally, an analysis of system simulation was undertaken to make sure that the modified decision model and mixed searching strategy were set up properly and correctly and the detailed scheduling of multi-product was shown with the scheduling of workpieces of multi-product.Finally, the production decision support system was developed with the combination of research content and information technology using software developing tools, such as VB.NET and SQL Serverthe. And the optimization decision of production plan and the optimization decision of scheduling plan under MTS/MTO hybrid flexible production mode were connected through this system.Above all, the research about optimization decision of production under MTS/MTO hybrid flexible production mode was undertaken with the development trend and demand of manufacturing companies will be the important and practical reference to improve scientific decision-making level, economic efficiency and market competitiveness of enterprises.
