Since 1990 s, supply chain management, as a kind of management concept and mode which can help enterprises to improve their competitive ability, has received widespread attention from all over the world. The policies made with the goals of maximizing the supply chain members’ own interests may be inconsistent with the overall objectives of the supply chain, so it needs to develop appropriate coordination strategies to optimize the overall performance of the supply chain. There exists private information among the members of the supply chain, which is not willing to share with other members, resulting in asymmetric information, which leads to coordinating supply chain complexly. It is an effective method to solve the problem that how to design the methods of the supply chain coordination to improve the overall profit of the whole supply chain with the information symmetry and asymmetry. Aiming at this problem, this paper puts forward the methods of supply chain coordination under the conditions of symmetric and asymmetric information.First of all, this paper analysis the theory and methods of supply chain coordination, which include defining the information asymmetry and supply chain coordination, giving the influencing factors and coordination mechanism of the supply chain, and puting forward supply chain coordination methods based on contracts and model-analysis method of supply chain coordination. It lays the foundation for the establishment of supply chain coordination models and solutions.Secondly, the papers studies the independent decision-making problems of two-stage supply chain members under the discrete multi-cycle demand. Taking the manufacturer and the retailer’s cost and profit as a measure of the standard, the retailer’s cost optimization model and the manufacturer’s profit optimization model are established, and a dynamic programming algorithm is designed to solve the problem.Then the paper carries out an in-depth study on two-stage supply chain coordination problems with the discrete multi-cycle demand. Considering the symmetric and asymmetric information, Taking the manufacturer and the retailer’s cost and profit as a measure of the standard, respectively using the quantity-discount contract, revenue-sharing contract and buyback contract to coordinate the supply chain, then constructs the supply chain coordination models and designs dynamic programming algorithms to solve the models. Finally through practical data verify the supply chain coordination effect with three contracts and the influence of supply chain coordination performance with different degrees of information asymmetry.Finally, a prototype system is designed and developed for the models established and the solving algorithms to the models. It gives a more intuitive expression for the results of the models with the algorithms. The prototype system is designed with simulation experiment under the condition of symmetry and asymmetric information int two-stage supply chain, and offers an effective storage for the information of the models and parameters. Finally, the display module of the system present a visual display for the solving results to the problems, coordination effect of different contracts and the influence of supply chain coordination performance with different degrees of information asymmetry.
