The global financial crisis has passed more than six years, in these six years, all the countries are looking forward to get the situation better and better, such as economy improves, employment opportunities, social welfare, social return, etc. But, so far, the negative influence brought by the financial crisis is far from, its influence still exists. KSB Pump Shanghai Co., LTD., in such a tough market conditions, the top management thought about it, to maintain its market position and corresponding economic benefits, starting from the actual situation of the company, combined with the advanced experience of the worldwide advanced management method, to improve company internal management. There are a lot of effective management ways to support enterprises. Among them, LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma is a feasible method, the masters in the field have introduced a LEAN Six Sigma management method according to the practice in the field. It can quickly improve enterprise management, also can improve key performance indicators, such as: efficiency, quality and cost, can produce the products which customer satisfied, as far as possible to create profit and worth. LEAN Six Sigma is not a simple pile-up of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma, but organic combination, replenishes each other. The effect of combination exceeds the single introduction of LEAN manufacturing or Six Sigma.Thesis want to illuminate some understanding of LEAN Six Sigma, analyzes its origin, historical background, also shows some advanced tools of LEAN Six Sigma, like Design of Experiment, etc. On this basis, select Shanghai KSB pump co., LTD as the research resource for practice. First of all, state the company’s operation status, analyzed the main problems inside and outside. Secondly, take the output per capita improvement, efficiency improvement, cost reduction as the target, optimize the operation progress, compare changes before and after improvement, then shows the advantage of LEAN Six Sigma. Moreover, when implement improvement of OMEGA pump production, using the DOE method to analyze the key performance indicator of assembly:effectiveness, improve the work elements, optimizing the technological process, shorten the assembling cycle time, to improve the quality and production efficiency.At the same time, hoping this research can improve the activity of the enterprise, having reference for the enterprises to implement LEAN Six Sigma activities, will help the management team and technical engineers to come up with innovation, continuous improvement ideas. Also hope that through this research, can make sure that the enterprise can get the power for improvement, and the technical support, increase the possibilities of Lean Six Sigma transformation, accordingly improve the competition and viability of enterprises.
