Applied Research Of Delicacy Management For Strategy In Tri-Net Logistics(Asia)Pte Ltd

Our company in the research is multi-national 3rd party logistic company, established in 2007. His mother company is famous group in Japan, Mitsui Group. The company originall is only a local logistics company in Singapore invested by Mitsui Group, established in 1970s’. In 2007, Mitsui decided to merged our company to their multi-national subsidy- Tri-Net Grouop, therefore, our company merged with Tri-Net Singapore and established TriNet Logistcis(Asia) Pte Ltd, be responsible for the logistics business in Asia Pacific and have subsidy in Indonesia and India. Mitsui Group requested our company to expand after merging.The thesis mainly analysis company’s warehousing business are unable to fulfil the new request from Mitsui to expand due to the old operational method, affected whole company’s strategy.In this thesis, based on PEST model and Poter’s competitive strategy theory, starting with the analyst of industrial structure, industry conditions, competitive environment, and internal and external environmental assessment. The company position in the industry, financial status, management level and growth is analysed. And with SWOT tool analysis, the Group’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are also summarized. Through the presentation of company’s strategy, raised out the requirement of delicacy management program and ulilization of Warehouse Management System and preparation requirements. At last, evaluation of final result form different department’s view, conclusion that the WMS is efficiency method to implement the delicacy mamagement. I also hope that during the process of writing this thesis, through case studies and analysis, with business management theory, I can pratice them in my future job management in a theoretical basis.Hope that this thesis will be cited as a reference for the development of other 3PL company or warehousing provider or other companies. How to use Information system to realize the delicacy management.And how many factors need to consider before implementation, eg, operational flow re-organization, HR preparation and technical support.As our company is not listed company, to comply with the commercial confidentiality terms, the involved data in this article are appropriately changed.
