Evaluation Of Xiaoxing’anling National Geopark Tourism Resources

Geopark construction is the best way to protect geological heritage. Geological heritage resources are rich in Heilongjiang province. However, there are few researches on the evaluation of geological heritage resources and tourism resources, especially lack of quantitative evaluation. This may have negative impacts on geological heritage protection and utilization of tourism resources. In this paper, we inveataged and quantitatively evaluated the geological heritage resources and tourism resources in Xiaoxing’ an Mountains National Geopark of Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province by using the analysis hierarchy process and Rosenberg Fishbein model. Then we proposed protection measures of geological heritage resources and utilization measures of tourism resource by the results. The aim is 1) provide reference for the rational planning and sustainable development of the National Geological Park.2) provide theoretical support for determining the scale of tourism resources development. 3) establish the evaluation system of geological resources and tourism resources of the Xiaoxing’ an Mountains geopark, which has a certain reference value for the quantitative evaluation of geological heritage resources and tourism resources of other geological parks. The results showed that:Status of Xiaoxing’an Mountains geopark resource is as follows:Maolangou and Taoshan zone of the geopark is located in the north and south ends of Yichun city, respectively. Though far apart, the landscape of canyon and waterfall in Maolangou zone and wonder peak and interesting rocks in Taoshan zone are complementary of the geological heritage resources. Large potential were found in utilization of the landcape resources.Evaluation of geological heritage resources can provide theoretical support for determining the scale of tourism resources development. The evaluation results showed that the main geological heritage landscape resources in Xiaoxing’an Mountains geopark have relatively high level. It is necessary to establish the national geopark. Geomorphologic landscapes are the most valuable geological heritage resources in Xiaoxing’an Mountains geopark. In the establishment, development and utilization of geopark, should pay attention to the protection of the integrity, graceful degree and pleasure degree of the geological heritage resources.Tourism resources are rich in Xiaoxing’an Mountains geopark. Main categories of resources are on a higher level. Basic types are rich and mainly the geographic landscape. Resource value and tourism environment level is higher. Tourism resources in the geopark are protected well and have the potential for further development.Approval is only the beginning of the construction of the National geopark. The latter part of the construction, operation and sustainable development is the key of the geopark to play its role. We summarize resources advantages in Little Xing’ an Mountains geopark, summed up the problems existing in the construction and operation, and put forward in the management and operation of the late protection planning and development strategy in Xiaoxing’ an Mountains geopark. We proposed that the construction and development of the geological park should always adhere to the principle of protection of the first, the development measures of any tourism resources can not be at the expense of the cost of geological heritage resources. On the basis of effective protection, it can promote the sustainable development of the Xiaoxing’an Mountains geopark from the aspects of rich tourism products, creating high-quality tourist routes, increasing the propaganda and establishing effective interpretation system. These protection and development strategy are helpful to the construction, management and operation of the Xiaoxing’ an Mountains geopark.
