As we all know, China is a great country of world aquaculture. The aquaculture has been well developed since 1988. The output of aquaculture was continually overpassed the marine fishing, which provide high-quality aquatic protein and made important contributions to national food security. Hainan Province is surrounded by the sea which provided an advantageous condition for the development of aquaculture industry, which made Hainan Province become a major base of cage aquaculture in China. Although the traditional and offshore cage aquaculture production of Hainan Province took up 6% and 39.6% of China respectively in 2014, there is more and more problems, such as wild fish stocks extremely declined with extensively used as cage aquaculture feed, the price of aquaculture fish production was cheaper than before with oversupplied, have been exposed after more than 30 years high-speed development, which made the cage aquaculture cost more, income down and raising the stakes. As the result, analysis for economic efficiency and influencing factors of cage aquaculture by economic method allows no delay. The survey of traditional cage aquaculture was based on Lingshui County where the oldest and largest aquaculture was formed over the past years, and offshore cage aquaculture on Chengmai County which has secondary aquaculture production in Hainan Province. The aquaculture survey practiced by one to one household survey mode, and the data analysis and processing is compliance with corporate accounting standards in strict. It analyzed the investment risk of traditional and offshore cages investment risk from costs and benefits, breakeven point and payback period for the index which concluded from the comparison of unit cages, water units and monomer yield. The result of investigation showed that the offshore cage had higher profits and lower risks than the traditional aquaculture. We also analyzed the cost-benefit and risk of aquaculture in traditional cage with different culture way from the scale of aquaculture, species and survival rate which indicated that the medium-sized cages were the optimum culturing model. The economic profits and risks varied among different culturing species. The profits were in proportion to the survival rate of breeding, while the risks were directly inversely proportional to the survival rate.According to the characteristics of investigated data of traditional and offshore cages, we analyzed the main factors of cage aquaculture net benefits with multiple linear regression and correlation analysis of gray comprehensive by econometric method. The results show that the unit price, survival rate and scale are top three main factors in the net benefit of traditional cage, and cost of feed, fingerling and number of sales in offshore cage.Based on the investigation, the current cage industrial situation and tendency of traditional and offshore cage aquaculture were analyzed. Some corresponding suggestions were also put forward in the end of this thesis.
