With the rapid development of private manufacturing enterprises in our country, its malpractices have been gradually revealed, which have become the important problems restricting the development of enterprises especially unreasonable salary design. Designing a reasonable salary structure for the enterprise thus to improve the enterprise growth level has become an important problem to be solved.Under the guidance of tournament theory and agent theory, this paper have sought for the characters of private manufacturing enterprise and employees’generation, then give the hypothesis. Meanwhile,the paper using the private manufacturing listed enterprises between 2009 and 2014 as research sample,1854 samples have been gained. In the research, this paper have introduced the proportion of independent directors, the chairman and general manager whether part-time and enterprise locates the area as a moderator variable, gained the enterprise’s growth points though the principal component analysis method.According to the work discussed above, this paper came to the conclusion. The results show that there has been a positive incentive effect on the enterprise growth between both senior management team and executive payment gap and ordinary employee compensation gap. Chairman and general manager of the authority will weaken the compensation gap’s influence on the enterprise growth. The increase of the independent director’s proportion will strengthen the influence of payment gap on the enterprise growth. In the eastern regions of private manufacturing enterprises, the wage gap for the incentive of enterprise growth is stronger than that of midwest private manufacturing enterprises.This paper provides a referential suggestions about how to design a reasonable salary structure,and give the guidence about how to improve private manufacturing enterprises in our country by pay gap growth levels.
