Input-output analysis, the method is applied to analyze the correlation between input and output of various sectors in the economy. The model is the use of an apposite input-output table to established a mathematical model and then analyze a variety of economic systems. After Input-output method is established, quickly caused extensive research. but thanks to the development of input-output model, many limitations are constantly exposed when the classical input-output model is used to analyze real economic problems, thus, more and more scholars began to question its applicability. In fact, it is endless to say, the input-output method has good applicability, but because the restrictions to make input-output tables, problems such as hypothesis of itself, result in not so widely application, but with appropriate improved, there is still a good usefulness.Firstly, there is background and significance of the research, then making a brief discussion of the established of input-output theory and the development process as well as domestic and international research; secondly, the paper detailed depict the basic structure and coefficient, the writing method and classification of input-output table, and detailed demonstrates the input-output model theory; Then take the impact assessment of 2014 Wuhan Open for example, in accordance with the 2007 input-output table in Hubei and other relevant data, and according to the special economic structure of sports events, take the department as a separate which is highly correlated with sports events, while some of less relevant departments merged. Combined with the thought of interval estimation in mathematical statistics, which is further improved the utilized of the model, and it is also successfully stimulating economic influence on the host city of event.
