Visual Symbol Design In The Image Of Penglai Tourism City

With the accelerated development of urban civilization, the increasingly fierce global competition, there are more and more cities have the consciousness of positive value of the spread of city image,and they realize that they need to creat a unique city image based on urban culture. Through the study of domestic and foreign successful city image design, and the knot of Penglai City Cultural Characteristics and unique natural conditions, summed up the ideas and direction of Penglai city image design, and on this basis expansion further design. This article designed a series of the urban graphic symbols with the existing resources of Penglai and the scenery and myths which are well-known and iconic.It also shows Penglai’s tourism and cultural characteristics with the symbols that are not only vivid but also correspond to reality.This article is illustrated by the example of Penglai City Tourism image to design by using flat design style and H5 propaganda carrier. This study hopes to enrich and improve visual elements quality in Penglai touristic media;separate from previous propaganda design in a result of it is lacking of sense of beauty and is the same as others; promote the city pass Media vigorously;make great efforts to promote the image of the city,and enhance the city’s outward degree.The three parts carry on the elaboration to the Penglai tourism city image design and application design, the whole thesis is about Penglai tourism image and its application design creation. The first part is elaboration of Penglai tourism image and present background situation; the second part is an overview of Penglai tourism image symbol system, analyzing and arranging the typical visual mark of Penglai;the lastpart illustrates the creation of Penglai tourism image and application in its design process.
