With the continuous enhancement of urbanization, the rapid development of industrialization, the improvement of people’s diet and the optimization of agricultural industrial structure, our Chinese greenhouse cultivated vegetable industry is developing rapidly, which made great contributions to the development of people’s living standards and social economy. Wuhan, located in the National Geographic Center which is known as "linking the west, connected south to north ", as the leader of "urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River", has accelerated urbanization and economic development and an increasing number of urban population, which increases the demand for vegetables. On the other hand, the expansion of urban area and compression of suburb land result in a rapid rise of land prices, which not only reduces the vegetable production area, but also increases the cost of planting vegetables. Therefore, it is of great significance to analyze the current situation of Wuhan’ greenhouse cultivated vegetables and the input-output relationship of its production. This article aims to study the layout structure of Wuhan’ greenhouse cultivated vegetables, industrial characteristics and cost efficiency. Meanwhile, when studying the sample farmers operating behavior, the author also tries to understand the development of vegetable market conditions and policy environment as well as to find the problems in the development of greenhouse cultivated vegetables in Wuhan city and put forward countermeasures and suggestions, so as to effectively guide farmers to reduce production inputs and improve output efficiency. For one thing, it can provide abundant vegetables to ensure the development of the city; for another, it lays the foundation for increasing suburban farmers’ income and economic development in rural areas.Based on the theory of industrial economy, Peasant household economic behavior and the cost-profit, this thesis uses qualitative and quantitative analytic procedure and factor analysis method. Then, it analyzes the characteristics and economic benefits of the vegetable industry in Wuhan systematically, and based on that, it studies the individual characteristics through descriptive statistics of sample data and analysis vegetable production cost and profit condition, so as to explore the economic benefit of Wuhan’ greenhouse cultivated vegetables. Then, the production benefit function model is made and multiple linear regression method is adopted to calculate the direction and degree of the influence factors on the income of the sample farmers. Finally, based on the farmers’ behaviors, market environment and government policy, the judgment on the impact degree of each factor on income is made to to explore how to improve the input-output ratio of greenhouse cultivated vegetables in Wuhan city and put forward a few relevant suggestions. The research shows that the production benefit of the greenhouse cultivated vegetables in Wuhan is influenced by the peasant household behavior, direct input, external market and policy environment as well as other internal and external factors. Specifically speaking, there are 7 factors that have a positive significant impact on the benefit of greenhouse cultivated vegetables production, such as labor input, physical capital input, household planting technology, vegetable planting area, number of domestic agricultural labor force, transportation convenience, vegetable price fluctuation range, etc. However, the influence of some factors is not significant, including land input, age, identity and education level of head of household, whether to join the cooperation organization and seedling quality grade etc. Relatively speaking, the significance of the policy influencing factors is obviously lower because of the subjective feelings of the sample peasant household on the policy services. Among these factors, "degree attention of the relevant government departments" and "the importance of policy insurance" respectively go through the 10% and 5% level of significance test, and both have a positive effect on production benefit. Therefore, it is concluded that to improve the benefit of greenhouse cultivated vegetable production must start from multiple perspectives, taking into account the influence of peasants’ qualities, factors inputs, market environment and policy guidance.
