| As a storytelling method, landscape narrative plays great role in historical stories telling of tourist areas and emotional connection of designers and tourists. In recent years, the researches on landscape narrative method system have increased. This paper study the visitors’ experience from the perspective of landscape narrative, which is of great meaning.The methods systems have been built through literature research. Taking Gubei Water town as a case, in order to study the application of landscape narrative, related to tourism connotation, spatial structure, and other environmental elements and themes perception and so on. What’s more, the perception and experience of visitors were investigated through field observations, interviews and questionnaires based on the evaluation system establishment of tourist features, themes, space, environment, activities, and feedbacks.The paper analyzes the structural expression of frontier history and folklore culture theme of Gubei Water Town. The rhythm of space was studied with the combination of squares, streets, bridges, which developed the structure of point-line-surface-level. What’s more, the paper introduced the concept of space, so as to establish the evaluation system from the perceptions of feeling and experience. The results are as follows:(1) Theme perception:the perception of frontier history theme was weak; (2) Space narrative:It was showed that the experience of inlet space and Dragon-phoenix Pool space put first level in degree. (3)Environment narrative:the streets and bridges were most impressive among the visual landscape. (4) Activity narrative:leisure activities were the most popular, the types of folk culture and interactive should be improved. (5) Tourists’ feedback:history and culture should be pay more attention. And the lack of aboriginal people had impact to the cultural atmosphere. Based on the results, the recommendations were put forward:(1) Strengthening the elements expression of border military culture; (2) Taking advantage of streets for landscape narrative; (3) Strengthening tour guide wire by the narrative elements; (4) Increasing narrative connotation to leisure space; (5) building the interactive platform for tourists, and so on.The feedback mechanism of landscape design and tourists experience were innovative, which can be popularize to other landscape places and tourism destinations, so as to provide references of planning, designing and management. |
