Research On The Thought Of Sustainable Development In Tang-Song Dynasty

Sustainable development is the consensus of the era. When sustainable development was put forth, it received widespread attention. Since the implementation of reform and opening up, China’s society and economy have made great progress, but there are many problems in the development process, which have become obstacles to sustained economic and social development. To solve these problems, the party and the government put forward strategy of sustainable development. Since the eighteenth National Congress of the CPC, central government has repeatedly proposed sustainable development, requiring coordination between reform and development and vigorous promotion of construction of ecological civilization. In “The Thirteenth Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People’s Republic of China”, the government continued to improve sustainable development ideas that we should adhere to the green development and strive to improve the ecological environment. Thus,it has important practical significance to study the thought of sustainable development.Firstly, the thesis defines related concepts of the thought of sustainable development, and analyzes its production and evolution. Under the guidance of the theory, the thesis explains that sustainable development is the harmonization of the three aspects of ecological, economic and social development, and the main content of the ideas is ecological, economic and social sustainable development. Secondly, on the basis of the previous text, the thesis briefly explains the situation of the thought of sustainable development before the Tang and Song Dynasties, and mainly combs the ideas in the three periods of the Qin, Han and Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties, which illustrates that there has been the emergence of germination of the thought of sustainable development before the Tang and Song Dynasties, but it is scattered and lack of system and integrity. Thirdly, the thesis divides the Tang-Song Dynasty into three periods of Tang, the Northern Song and the Southern Song Dynasty,and sorts and summarizes the ideas of sustainable development of the thinkers from the ecological, economic and social aspects. Finally, based on the summary of the thought of sustainable development in the Tang-Song Dynasty, the thesis makes comprehensive evaluation, and points out that the thought of sustainable development in the Tang andSong Dynasties is the China’s native thought, which is more in line with China’s national conditions and has more reference to today’s social and economic development in China.
