The automobile industry is a pillar industry in China,Autom otive R & D and manufacturing requires a longer period. R & D, manufacturing, marketing, sale are stages of the chain. Com pany management and developm ent needs a long-term strategic planning guidance. Looking at the current of m any auto companies,They all promote their development strategy, at the sam e time,also constantly adjust with the external environment and competition. Promote product strength and marketing power promotion, through system and continuously strengthening to increase competition.FAW Car Co., Ltd.( Hereinafter referred to as FAW Car) is the subsidiary of the FAW,and it is the main base of FAW band. It already has 400,000 production scale from its inception in 1997,It has strong abilities of research and development, production, marketing, sale through years of accumulation and development.FAW Car has a competitive advantage in the passenger vehicle area.Automotive industry competition intensified trend has emerged,the key of FAW Car’s success is seize the moment and ready prudence. Therefore,FAW Car starts the "Thirteen Five" strategic planning,by founding strategic planning team and scientific strategic planning methods,with mature planning ideas/advanced enterprise benchmarking study/internal full discussion, demonstration and scientific analysis, derivation, combined with FAW Car "Twelve Five " Replay, review the past, scientific planning, rigorous proof, looking to the future.This article focuses on the main work of FAW Car’s "Thirteen Five" strategic planning,at first getting theoretical support by the Boston Consulting Group(BCG),learning basic methods and thinking, formulating FAW Car’s strategic planning and the project timing plan with its support, understanding of mature planning experience of FVW and FAW, learning experience and avoid the previous strategic planning lessons.Second, actively promote the strategic planning agenda, through external analysis and internal evaluation/ strategic positioning and objectives/ product line and function strategy direction/ ability organization and implementation 8 steps formulates overall strategic planning and ensure the implementation of strategic planning, ensure FAW Car’s "Thirteen Five" strategic planning is reached, ensure FAW Car’s vision realization.
