As "the Belt and Road" strategy is put forward, our country will enter a new stage of economic globalization. Sea-rail intermodal transport is an important means to implement "the Belt and Road" strategy, which will play the key role. China’s Ministry of Transport also points out that accelerating the development of sea-rail intermodal transport has important implications for the construction of comprehensive transport system, the development of modern logistics, coordinated development of regional economy, energy conservation and emissions reduction, etc. however, in port collecting and distributing system of our country, the railway transportation proportion was only 2.6%, sea-rail intermodal transport needs prompt development.One of the most important factors restricting the rapid development of sea-rail intermodal transport is that ocean carriage and rail transport can’t connect smoothly, and the time containers stay in port is too long, impacting on the timeliness of sea-rail intermodal transport seriously. Whether the connection is reliable is of great importance to the development of sea-rail intermodal transport.Therefore, this article aims at the research on connection reliability of sea-rail intermodal transport of import containers in port. Firstly, this paper analyzes the connection process of containers in port from ships arriving to container trains departing, summarizes the factors affecting the reliability of connection, and analyzes all the factors, finding that operation plan of trains is most crucial to the reliability. Then this paper quantifies connection reliability in comprehensive costs, and analyzes the operation plan with the help of the theory of dynamic EOQ model, giving the economic number of cars, and determining economic operation plan through economic comparison between accumulation with fixed point and accumulation with fixed composition. Finally, on the base of above operation plan and Anylogic simulation software, paper simulates the connection process of containers in port. Through changing the value of different influence factors, Anylogic gets different comprehensive cost and ascertains all the factors’degree of influence on connection reliability eventually, providing quantitative basis for improving the connection reliability.
