Research On Impact Of New Eurasian Land Bridge To Xinjiang Goods Trade

It is no doubt that the construction and development of "Silk Road Economic Belt" gave opportunities to our western provinces and cities along the New Eurasian Land Bridge for developing foreign trade by opening to the west. Western provinces and cities along the New Eurasian Land Bridge have the great advantage of opening to the outside world by using the New Eurasian Land Bridge, especially for Xinjiang province. Xinjiang province has the exclusive regional advantage for developing foreign trade, become an important port opening to the west and also become the necessary transport corridor for central Asian countries to the east. Therefore, studying on impact of New Eurasian Land Bridge to Xinjiang goods trade is very significant under the background of the construction of "B&R".This article takes the effect on the New Eurasian Land Bridge to Xinjiang goods trade development for the study. Firstly, analyze the development situation of New Eurasian Land Bridge and Xinjiang goods trade. Secondly, qualitatively analyze the impact mechanism and degree of the New Eurasian Land Bridge to Xinjiang goods trade. Lastly, analyze the impact degree of the New Eurasian Land Bridge to Xinjiang goods trade with the aid of trade gravity model. This article improves the explanation of the original trade gravity model, which is by using the transportation cost variable instead of the original space distance variable and adding other variables such as infrastructure factor, international coordination and cooperation, as well as adjacent situation according to the actual characteristics of Xinjiang goods trade. Through the empirical analysis, this article argues that economies scale factor, infrastructure factor international coordination and cooperation factor and adjacent situation factor play a significant role in promoting Xinjiang goods trade. The transportation cost is the main factor to hinder the Xinjiang goods trade development.Based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis on impact of the New Eurasian Land Bridge to Xinjiang goods trade, this article puts forward proposals as follows: Firstly, strengthen international coordination and cooperation and improve the port and corridor environment to develop the New Eurasian Land Bridge. Secondly, strengthen international cooperation of infrastructure construction and develop international logistics and China-Europe international trains to develop Xinjiang goods trade.
