Empirical Analysis On The Effect Of Rural Infrastructure Construction On Agricultural Economic Growth In Chengdu

Rural infrastructure and agricultural economy should be closely to each other. Rural infrastructure is the material basis for agricultural economy. Strengthening the Construction of rural infrastructure is an important content of building the new Countryside of Socialism; Construction of rural infrastructure is an important way to realizing sustainable economy development; Construction of rural infrastructure is an important link to realizing agricultural modernization.As a strong economic province in west,Chengdu has entered a critical period of overall urban and rural comprehensive reform pilot area construction and the important period of the construction of the "modern garden city", in this special period, it is particularly important to rural economic development.The relationship of rural infrastructure and agricultural economy growth is a hot point on the problem of "agriculture, rural areas and farmers".The effect of rural infrastructure investment in the construction of new countryside is very outstanding.There has been detailed studies about the the relationship of the two, but because of the economic development in every region has different characteristics,the rural infrastructure investment of chengdu also presented its particularity, the phases and characteristics of the current state on the rural infrastructure of chengdu’s effect on economic growth is not clear at the cognitive level, the priorities of different infrastructure investment is also lack of system analysis.This paper respectively from the point of view of theoretical and empirical study on the relationship of chengdu’s rural infrastructure and agricultural economic growth. On the theoretical analysis, structure theory, efficiency theory, and the theory of agricultural growth provide a solid theoretical basis for government to invest in rural infrastructure.Then on the basis of literature analysis,we define the classification of rural infrastructure.They can be divided into four parts including transport infrastructure,water infrastructure,education infrastructure and health care infrastructure. At last,in order to the actual situation of chengdu rural infrastructure as a reference.on the basis of macro statistics,we describes all kinds of present situation and existing problems of rural infrastructure investment.On the empirical analysis,I got chengdu rural time series data from 2000 to 2011 through consulting chengdu rural statistical yearbook and field research,then establishing all kinds of grey correlation model of the infrastructure and the gross agricultural production,At last we get the relationship of the four infrastructure with agricultural gross domestic production respectively:the transport infrastructure has the highest relationship with agricultural gross domestic production; water conservancy facilities in the second; communication,education and health care facilities has a weak correlation with agricultural gross domestic production.Based on the above analysis,we found out the investment priority order and gave the targeted policy recommendations combined with Chengdu’s actual situation.
