With the large-scale construction of high-speed railway, civil aviation suffered unprecedented impact. On the high-speed railway lines,there is a substantial reduction in flight, and even forced to cancel the airline flights. Speed railway and aviation transportation has its own technical characteristics and strengths, weaknesses. In addition to the competition, there is a certain degree of cooperation between the two synergies. It is a major problem that how to use it best while avoiding disadvantages, and how to further improve the efficiency of both transportation efficiency and synergy, and then to achieve optimal allocation of transportation resources placed in front of the government and transportation companies.In a study of high-speed railway and aviation transportation competition, the use of passenger Logit equation analysis shared between the two conditions (market share) is a more mature approach. For ease of analysis, we will see each chinese air transport companie as a main competition, Research and analysis the factors that affect the competitive relationship between high-speed railway research and it. In response to these factors, use Logit equation to build high-speed rail and air transport competition model, and analyze the alternative when the transport distance and high-speed rail fare changes in terms of substitution. Through analysis, we found that high-speed rail has a significant competitive advantage when the transport distance less than 600 km, with the increase of the transport distance, high-speed rail competitive advantage gradually weakened and air transport gradually increased, but the high-speed rail market market share is greater than the civil aviation at this time. When the transport distance reaches 1000 km, the two market share basically achieve the same, and the price and service become the most important impact factors of competitive. When the transport distance over 1000 km, the civil aviation continued to improve competitive advantage and its market share began to exceed the high speed railway, and the situation continued to expand.When the transport distance more than 1600 km, the civil aviation has overwhelmingly competitive, and high-speed rail market share close to zero. Thus it can be seen that the convenience (the time cost) is the primary factor that affect passengers’ choice, followed by the economic costs (transport prices) and services.After seeing the development of high speed rail decentralize the source of civil aviation, we also noted that there is still a certain amount of cooperation between the high-speed railway and aviation transportation. By learning the the experience of leading countries, discussing the mplementation pattern and economic benefits of the intermodal of Air and rail, to present an opinion to the government for how to use the high speed railway and civil aviation transportation’ advantages, exert the synergy effect and establish reasonable traffic development planning, to provide advice for improving business strategy and competitiveness of high speed railway and civil aviation transportation. It has certain economic and practical significance for the orderly competition and harmonious coexistence of all kinds of transportation, and optimization of the whole transportation system.
