With rapid development of Shanxi market economy, private enterp rise scientific and technological workers have played a role of vital i mportance in promoting economic construction and social development, and rational and efficient incentive mechanism can improve working passion and efficiency. Currently, there have been many research achie vements about incentive mechanism. However, these researches rarely t reat private enterprise scientific and technological workers as research objectives of incentive mechanism. Therefore, the research achievement s of this article does not only fill the blank of research on incentive mechanism for private enterprise scientific and technological workers t o some extent, but provide important intellectual support to formulatio n and improvement of private enterprise scientific and technological w orkers for relevant government departments and enterprises and theoreti cal support for each work item.This article has conducted empirical research to incentive mechani sm of Shanxi private enterprise scientific and technological workers thr ough questionnaire survey and interview, and has proposed relevant po licy suggestions for actual situation. The article mainly consists of fou r parts:Chapter I "Introduction", gives a brief introduction to backgro und and significance of the research, and presents research achievemen ts about incentive mechanism at home and abroad.Chapter II "Research on Shanxi Private Enterprise Scientific and Technical Worker Incentive Mechanism", This chapter is divided into t wo parts:the overview of theoretical and empirical research. The overvi ew of theoretical part has explains the concepts of incentivation and i ncentive mechanism; and discusses incentive objective, elements influen cing incentivation and specific incentive measures, which provides theo retical basis and research framework for the following empirical resear ch on incentive mechanism.The empirical research part has mainly intr oduces the questionnaire survey implementation process which the emp irical research is based on, and also introduces questionnaire design, re lease and collection and sample distribution situation.Chapter III "The Problem in Shanxi Private Enterprise Scientific a nd Technical Worker Incentive Mechanismus", has conducted analysis t o research results, given a relatively overall analysis to the existing m echanism for Shanxi private enterprise scientific and technological wor kers from the aspects of salary level, social benefits, title assessment, enterprise management, talents management and others. It has also fou nd out shortcomings of the existing incentive mechanism.Chapter IV "Countermeasure and Suggestion on Shanxi Private En terprise Scientific and Technical Worker Incentive Mechanism", provide s a series of policy suggestions and provides some certain references f or rational construction of incentive mechanism for Shanxi private ente rprise scientific and technological workers.
