Research On The Employment Effects Of Foreign Trade Of Shanxi

Our country is a typical labor abundant country, employment problem directly affects the economic development and social harmony. In the 12th five-year plan, the government put forward that we must keep employment problem on the priority of economic and social development, implement the strategy of employment priority guidelines. Experience suggests that in the process of economic development of resources dependent region exist unemployment, employment more difficult problem. As a typical resource dependent area, Shanxi Province is also facing the same problem. According to the theory of free trade point of view, foreign trade to one country or region abundant elements have a positive role in promoting. Therefore, the focus of this article is to analyze the relationship between foreign trade and employment in Shanxi Province, and tries to explores the ways of employment growth in Shanxi Province from the perspective of foreign trade.Based on ananlsisof shanxi’s foreign trade in recent years, and based on the Analysis of the employment condition, found in Shanxi Province’s foreign trade in certain achievements made at the same time, also there are many need to be improved.Such as the size of the foreign trade aspect is relatively small, relatively slow growth rate, import and export product structure is single, and with the economic development at the same time, there are also increasing the number of unemployed, unemployment is at a relatively high level of concern such as the employment situation.There are many influence factors in job growth, this paper mainly analyzes the five factors influencing the employment.In this paper, we analysis empirically import and export impact on employment in Shanxi Province by using the ADF, cointegration test, error correction model, Granger causality test. The results show that export can promote the growth of employment in Shanxi Province, while imports have a certain impact on employment. Based on the gray relational model is built, will affect the employment growth factors, namely exports, per capita disposable income, the domestic investment, FDI, fiscal expenditure into the same analysis framework, to evaluate the importance of exports to its employment growth in Shanxi Province.The results show that the export of grey correlation degree and employment growth in Shanxi Province is the biggest of all.In this paper, through theoretical analysis and empirical test, we got the conclusion that under the present economic new normal, we should be appropriately expand the scale of foreign trade of Shanxi Province, at the same time we must adjust the structure of export commodities, according to the market demand to further give play to effect of foreign trade to promote job growth.
