Study On Information Technology In Agriculture Extension

This paper has studied on the application situation, development trend and potential benefit of information technology, which is used in Chinese agriculture extension. By way of social investigation and scientific analysis, this paper focused on the bottleneck which depreciated the progress of modern agriculture, and the reason which affect the effectiveness of information technology. At last, some advice has been proposed. The main viewpoints include:(1) The purpose of agriculture technology extension should be returned back to its essence. Agriculture technology is used to increase the income of countrymen, to improve their living condition, to promote their education quality, transfer the useful information about agriculture products. So, whether the traditional public broadcast or high-tech demonstration zone has the same aim vyhich is to make farmers employ the new agriculture technology consciously and carry on the agriculture production effectively.(2) The countermeasure to resolve the bottleneck of agriculture technology extension is related with people’s ideology and detailed living conditions. How to change the agriculture structure minimum and to get the benefit maximally is the biggest challenge.(3) A constructive idea to use the latest information technology in agriculture extension demonstration zone is proposed. Its advantage is more intuitive and easy to be extended. It can make the farmer truly feel the effectiveness of information technology in agricultural production activities. Thus, they can use the modern agricultural method and information technology initiatively.
