With the advancement of technology and economic globalization, market competition are increasingly intense, only enterprise which quickly and effectively identify opportunities and obtain resources to development opportunity can survive, especially start-ups.Because of new weaknesses, start-ups are often at a disadvantage when they compete with mature companies, if start-ups can’t quickly identify opportunities and obtain resources, survival will be very difficult to them. From the individual level, enterprises’ opportunity recognition and resource acquisition are affected by senior managers, especially the enterprise’s founder. From an organizational level, enterprises’ opportunity recognition and resource acquisition are affected by enterprise’s social networks. Therefore, the project puts start-ups as object, using empirical analysis method to study influence of founder’s human capital and enterprise’ social network characteristics on opportunity recognition and resource acquisition.Through 124 start-ups’ questionnaire, the project find:(1)Founder’s general human capital neither influence opportunity recognition nor resource acquisition, but founder’s special human capital can positively affect opportunity recognition and resource acquisition.(2) Enterprise’ social network strength and network structure holes can positively affect opportunity recognition, but heterogeneity’s impact on opportunity recognition is not significant.(3)Structural holes and heterogeneity can positively affect resource acquisition, but network strength on resource acquisition is not significant.(4) the social network(network strength, structural holes and heterogeneity) plays a partial intermediary role between founder’s special human capital and opportunity recognition; network strength and heterogeneity play a partial intermediary role between founder’s special human capital and resource acquisition, structural holes play a total intermediary role between founder’s special human capital and resource acquisition.Empirical analysis shows that different human capital have different effect on opportunity recognition and resource acquisition,so do different social network characteristics. It deepens the relationship among human capital, social network, opportunity recognition and resource acquisition;reveals the impact mechanism of opportunity recognition and resource acquisition; provides an important theoretical reference for shaping founder’s human capital and building enterprise social network.
