Research On Risk Management Of Silicon Oil Free Shampoo R&D Project In M Company

With the development of science and technology, many innovative products are emerging into personal care industry. Many cosmetic companies promptly invested a lot into R&D in hope to occupy more market shares by producing new products. However, innovations comes with uncertainties, and different kinds of risks appear in the process of R&D. Due to the fact that traditional shampoos failed to satisfy consumers’various needs and demands, the silicon oil free shampoo comes into consumers’ view. Since project management of personal care industry is still in its infancy in China. Little systematic or high-efficient risk management methods are applied in cosmetic company. Therefore,to improve the competitive advantages and to make the R&D more efficient, it is very necessary and meaningful to study the risk management methods in the process of R&D. We will take the risk management process in the R&D project of silicon oil free shampoo as an example.This article studies the process of M company’s silicon oil free shampoo R&D project. With the relevant risk management theories of project management as guidance, based on the risk characteristics of silicon oil free shampoo R&D project, using the method of combining the theoretical and empirical analysis, we analyze and study of the risk management problem of silicon oil free shampoo R&D project. Firstly, we identified the risk factors in the procedure of this project by means of brain-storm. Then, we established the index system of risk assessment on the silicon oil free shampoo project. During the establishment of the risk assessment, we confirmed the weight of various risk factors by the way of Delphi and AHP method. Moreover,we analyzed the entire risk level by the method of vague comprehensive evaluation. Meanwhile, the project risk responses are general discussed. Then, we proposed the solution and controlled risk factors effectively for the whole project. Last but not least, we take the advantage of the solution to minimize the loss caused by the risk so that we can further research the risk management in M company’s R&D project.
