Ecological Compensation Of Rice Cultivation In South China

This paper makes use of replacement cost method, according to the rice fields of the combined change with market economy and external benefits, valuing the service of rice paddy agriculture ecosystem of the South China area from positive and negative aspects. In addition, applying the compensation demand theory to build a ecological compensation standard quantitative model, to estimate the value of the South China rice field of ecological compensation standard. The main results of this research are as below:(1) From 2001 to 2010, In the paddy field ecosystem, service values of various beneficial differ. The order in accordance with the value magnitude of various functions in South China is:air purification> flood control> rice production> collimation mitigation> fostering water resources>organic waste disposal>soil erosion prevention> straw resource. Comparing with the cost of three environmental factors, the cost greenhouse gas emissions are the highest,while water consumption and agricultural chemicals pollution cost is relatively low.(2) During the year of 2001 and 2010, with the paddy field area decreasing, the external value of four provinces reduce, which includes Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi, Fujian. respectively from the external value 27.457 billion yuan,25.722 billion yuan, 12.833 billion yuan,3.208 billion yuan to 22.986 billion yuan,23.413 billion yuan and 10.715 billion yuan,3.068 billion yuan, and the decline of value drop by 16.3%,9%, 16.5% and 9% respectively.(3) By studying seven domestic cases on agriculture utility value, the results show that the adopting evaluation index is not the same with different cases,and only air purification function of the non-market services in 7 cases are evaluated, which shows that different researchers understanding of rice agriculture versatility might have different understanding of rice agriculture versatility, In addition the value of the same functionality are differences in different cases, which may be related to the different evaluation methods and evaluation parameters(4)Comparing with the evaluation results of service functional value research of five rice ecosystems in Chinese Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Indonesia and China, which shows that the ecological functions are the main assessment content of the service functional of various regional rice ecosystems, but in each case the unit area of rice agriculture external differences between the evaluation results(5)By setting the year of 2001 as the based year, from 2002-2010, the average value of paddy ecological compensation standard,which included the four provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Hainan, respectively, were 1600 Yuan·hm-2,500 Yuan·hm-2,1500 Yuan·hm-2 and 200 Yuan·hm-2 And South China rice ecological compensation standard is about 900 Yuan·hm-2.From above, the following conclusions have been drawn:(1) The paddy area and the external value of paddy ecosystem were positively correlated.(2) External value of rice agriculture is much higher than economic benefits.(3) Rice ecological compensate on standard is about 900 Yuan·hm-2 in South China.
