With the rapid increase of the national economy, the express logistics industry gets more and more attention because it has become a new rise and important economic growth point of national economy. With the rapid development of an express logistics industry, it is becoming the artery of national economy, the basic industry of the national economy. It will also mark a degree of modernization of the country and the comprehensive national strength.For express logistics enterprises, the most important thing in logistics is costs, especially transport costs, which are the most important and largest business costs. Lower transport cost is the key point of increasing the competitive strength. I choose Y express logistics company as an example, for the logistics management problems, cost management problems, especially the transportation cost management problems, I try to give some views, suggestions and improvements in this article, hope to get counterparts’ advice. Through researching the transport costs of the Y express logistics company, analyzing the transport costs constitute, I find out the problems in the transportation cost and give propose solutions strategy and means of control to achieve the purpose of controlling transportation costs effectively, saving costs, increasing profits and enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises.Y express logistics company now has become one of China’s express delivery industry important brand after 13 years of development. The company now has eight districts, 69 transit centers, more than 6000 distribution outlets all over the country, and more than 120000 employees, direct service for more than 1900 domestic cities, covered more than 200 cities, and reached more than 70 air transport airport. Through research we found that the proportion of transportation cost in the cost of the company is very big, and cost of transportation is by the cost of fuel, driver’s salary, vehicle maintenance fees, tolls, express handling charge, outsourcing service and other fee, etc. Through to the company investigation and study, found that the company’s transportation cost is too high, the reason is mainly reflected in the unreasonable facilities, incomplete contingency plans, online mercenary, low staff quality and fluidity big, imperfect management system and implementation does not reach the designated position and the influence of petroleum price and obsolete equipment that seven aspects. According to these aspects oneself gives some methods to reduce costs, including a vehicle operation system reform, improve the contingency plans to deal with an emergency, by adopting the technology of vehicle management, reduce the transportation cost, under high oil price to develop business to strengthen services, development, development of advanced large-scale freight cargo tracking system and optimization of business processes to improve quality of service. Reduce the transportation cost, is Y Courier logistics companies to increase profits, the important way to enhance market competitiveness, is the company to get advantage in the fierce competition of a magic weapon to win.
