Research On The Solution Of Application Of Construction Enterprises Informationization

The construction industry is one of the pillar industries of the national economy. With an increasing competition, large traditional construction companies began facing unprecedented challenges. Even if market share grows, profits and advantages reduce, competition, risks and operational costs increase. It is well known that such enterprises have to improve their management skills and reduce costs. The application of IT system into a construction company`s daily management attracts hence a lot of attention. IT application in a construction company is to achieve a real-time management of the ongoing projects, to take proper actions to effectively reduce the waste and ultimately the costs. Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) system is an effective way to achieve the above objectives enterprise-wide.Based on this, this thesis is to analyze the advantages and disadvantages on the application of IT system in a construction company. The major points will be as follows :First of all, this document will point out the necessity of an IT system in a construction company based on the current problems they are facing. The thesis will then explain the current application and miss-understandings and how to choose the appropriate system software. Thus the thesis will then explain the reasons why these miss comprehension and errors arise. Then the thesis will use the five competitive forces, SWOT and value chain analysis tools to determine why the use of an IT system is necessary to control the projets and realize the strategic expansion demand for a construction company.Secondly, through the analysis of the information flow in construction companies and the special characteristics of their information, the thesis categorizes the different ERP plans. It especially explained the business structure of a construction enterprise as well as the basic principles of the IT applications in such companies. Thirdly, according to the special requirements, this thesis gives a detailed analysis of IT system applications to different construction companies. This thesis uses the 123 models to propose ERP solutions to various companies, namely: a main line, two types of databases, the three major functions of the system. Meanwhile it also identifies specific selected system platform, database systems for different construction organizations and describes in detail the specific functions of each subsystem.Finally, the thesis explains the application result, with a concrete example, of the ERP system in a selected construction company.This text has important theory guidance signifieation on popularizing the ap plieation of ERP system in architeeture industry.expediting the informationization Development speed,enhancing management level,and depressing informationization Risk of architeeture enterprises.
