The Study On The Important Affecting Factors Of The Technologe Roadmap Applied In Enterpries

The trend of economic globalization is more obvious since the 21 st century. The commercial competition of the international market becomes more intense. And now science and technology develop rapidly, the speed of products’ upgrade is faster and faster. Faced with such fierce competitive environment companies of all countries need to increase R&D investment and keep active innovation in order to maintain long-term competitive advantage. People have been exploring a more scientific technology forecasting methods to reduce R&D risks. Technology roadmap has been respected as an effective management tool. Companies can use technology roadmap to help achieve organic integration of the various strategies and select the desired future development of technology combining with in-depth analysis of market demand. Compared with other countries,China has introduced technology roadmap late and the range of the application of technology roadmap in enterprises is still small. But more and more companies want to predict technology, develop new products or carry out other activities by using technology roadmap. Effective application of technology roadmap can help domestic enterprises improve innovate ability, maintain long-term business competitive advantage, and further improve our country’s international competitiveness. Which lead to it has become an important topic for national scholars that how to better use technology roadmap. Therefore, this paper aims to identify the antecedent factors behind enterprises’ utilization of roadmaps in order to provide some theoretical reference for the promotion and application of technology roadmap in enterprises.Based on the technology roadmap in related literature, this article combines the characteristics of enterprises and the current situation of technology roadmap together, constructs the hypothesis and model of the factors behind the technology roadmap which are applied in enterprises. Then this paper analyzes the different factors from three aspects, such as internal aspect, external aspect and TRM itself. To verify above theoretical model, the author designs the measuring scale according to the analysis and research mentioned above. Then the research conducts a pilot survey and further modifies and improves the scale. After that, Samsung, Siemens, Haier and other industry leaders are mainly selected for the survey as a sample(156 valid samples). By the use of statistical software of SPSS19.0 and LISREL8.7, survey data obtained are analyzed. This paper has conducted a descriptive statistics, reliability and validity analysis, correlation analysis and structural equation modeling analysis. According to the analyst, 9 direct influence factors which can affect the enterprises’ application of technology roadmap are obtained. These factors are "organizational support", "enterprise’s ability", "right cognition on TRM", "development of industry TRM", "pay attention to TRM research", "government’s supporting", "effective TRM process", " appropriate software" and "TRM credibility". There are also 2 indirect factors, "industry internal environment" and "TRM corresponds to strategic objectives". Finally, according to test results this paper corrected hypothetical model to get the ultimately affecting factors model about application of enterprise technology roadmap.
