With the improvement of living standards, people’s awareness of life insurance has strengthened gradually and, with it, purchasing power has increased over time. China’s life insurance industry has ushered in previously unknown development opportunities, but at the same time will also face more intense market competition. Founder Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance is a new life insurance company with targets on how to seize opportunities, accept challenges and attempt to apply a demand driven consultant marketing method that adapts to and develops the current insurance market.This paper will initially analyze current day marketing methods and the evolution and development of the industry, combined with the current environment of China’s life insurance marketing according to the basic life SWOT analysis at Peking University. The research focuses on the existing methods of marketing companies, why choose demand-oriented marketing as an important marketing mode, current day framework, main points and existing problems are studied and raises the critical issues in Founder’s market research and implementation of recommendations.Founder Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance’s SWOT analysis summaries the company business structure, product matching, developed the customer service system, excellent training mechanism aspects and the company’s market share. Customer accumulation, high-quality personnel, the current marketing methods and the disadvantages of the salary system are also explored. In combination with the Founder life situation, selected the demand-oriented marketing on the basis of the model, analyzes the need from the management system, sales process, personnel system, training system, salary system and specific proposals for reform.In this paper the author personally participated and also acted as the research ad-visor for Founder life insurance’s pilot program and application,accumulating a great deal of practical experience and effective results and providing an important reference foundation as company practice consultant for marketing methods has helped the company take it’s next step. Also wishes Founder life insurance can be the current market’s next emerging force, develop quickly and push forward in the consultant marketing sector to become a member of the life insurance industry mainstream.
