As an important part of the agricultural development, agricultural trade influences and determines a country’s overall competitiveness to a large extent. China’s agricultural trade deficit has lasted for eleven years since 2004. With more TBTs from China’s major trading partners like United States, the European Union and Japan, China’s agricultural exports encounter more challenges. How to improve the competitiveness of China’s agricultural products export trade has become an important issue. With the implementation of China’s westward opening strategy and the successful conduction of AsiaEurope Expo, Xinjiang’s foreign trade develops rapidly. When President Xi Jinping visited Kazakhstan in 2013, he proposed a strategy called new "Silk Road economic belt", which puts up a broader development platform for Xinjiang’s foreign trade. As an important part of Xinjiang’s foreign trade, agricultural products export has a significant impact on Xinjiang’s economic development. Therefore, how to enhance the competitiveness of Xinjiang’s agricultural products becomes an important issue. The paper takes Xinjiang’s agricultural products as the research object. By using the method of empirical analysis, the paper studies the competitiveness and influential factors of the export of Xinjiang’s agricultural products. This study first defines some concepts such as export competitiveness of agricultural products based on the theory of comparative advantage. Secondly, the paper expounds the situation of Xinjiang’s agricultural export trade development from the aspects of the scale of export, the product structure and the market structure. Thirdly, applying indexes analysis and factor analysis, the paper estimates the export competitiveness of Xinjiang’s agricultural products compared with other provinces’ of China. Then, applying the CMS model, the paper studies the fluctuation extent of export competitiveness of Xinjiang’s agricultural products in three foreign markets. To know more about the export competitiveness of Xinjiang’s agricultural products, based on the export scale, the paper analyzes the competitiveness of five agricultural products in detail. Fourthly, the paper applies the Diamond Model to analyze the constraints on the promotion of export competitiveness of Xinjiang’s agricultural products. At last, based on the successful experiences from other countries and provinces, the paper proposes some suggestions to improve the export competitiveness of Xinjiang’s agricultural products.Through the above research, we draw the following conclusions: First, from the factor analysis results, we can get that the export competitiveness of Xinjiang’s agricultural products is among middle level compared with other provinces, lower than that of Shandong, Fujian, Hubei, Liaoning and Guangxi. Second, from the outcome of CMS model, we know that the growth effects makes main contribution on the increase of Xinjiang’s agricultural products export, while the competitiveness effects made little contribution. Third, from the outcome of Diamond Model, we know that the lack of advanced production elements, the deficient of market demand at home and abroad, the lagging development of related and supporting industries and the irrational planning of agribusinesses hinder the promotion of the export competitiveness of Xinjiang’s agricultural products.
