As people live longer and the old get more, delay retirement policy is proposed by more and more countries. Yin Weimin, the minister of the ministry of human resources and social security, announces that China will have raised the details gradually by the end of 2020, therefore delay retirement policy maybe carry out in China. However, it will deeply influence on our society and economy and the employment will be the NO.1 obstacle.This paper studies the structure of employment and retirement policies, it shows that retire advance is different in different vocations and different genders in Chinese existing retirement policy. DMP theory reveals that the more employees in labour forth market, the more vocations the companies offer. While the delay retirement policy must increase the number of employment, and therefore there are certain contact between retirement year and employment. What’s more, this paper uses the alternation of generations model trying to find their connection in theory, and explores that delay retirement policy will optimize the structure of employment.This paper builds the simultaneous equations model to make the dependency ratio to discuss the relation between retirement year and the structure of employment. According to the empirical study, China is mature enough to put the delay retirement policy into effect, and it will make the economy and the structure of employment better.In the part of the experiential study, this paper introduces the outline of the retirement policies of the whole world, in the same time introduces the Japan especially. From those research China will benefit more, such as elastic retirement, the relative policies and incentives, pension reform.After several analyses, this paper brings forward some suggestions about China’s delay retirement policy. It emphasizes that in order to make the delay retirement policy do good to China, gradually retirement age policy, elastic retirement, relative supervision mechanism, the same age to retire ignoring gender, pension reform, retirement advance are the keys.
