The Comparative Study On Chinese And EU’s Commodity Trade Structure

Because of the negative influence of American Subprime Crisis, the world economy has gone into downtown. Under the circumstance, the trend of Chinese and EU’s commodity trade are different. It is meaningful to analyze Chinese and EU’s commodity trade structural feature and the drive of commodity trade in terms of giving guidance to adjust Chinese commodity trade sturcture.This paper analyzes the trend of Chinese and EU’s commodity trade, their regional structure of commodity trade and their commodity trade sturcture by analyzing their annual commodity trade data. Then this paper chooses RCA to analyze Chinese and EU’s stage characters of commodity structure based on the factor intensity and then reveals the impact of technology, capital and labor on their export trade sturcture by analyzing the data of manufactured goods trade from 1999 to 2013.At last, this paper offers advices on adjusting Chinese commodity trade structure.The result of this paper are as follows: First, EU’s industrialized country is at a higher level of trade division, and China higher than EU’s emerging industrialized country. Second, the optimization trend of Chinese trade structure is obvious, and the impact of technology on export is increasing,but the main drives of low and medium technoloty-intensive commodities are capital and labor. The trade structure of EU is more advanced, for technology has boosted to the growth of various commodities.Thus, the advices on adjusting Chinese commodity trade structure are as follows:Firstly, China need to optimize and equalize the process of commodity trade structure.Secondly, China should utilize the impact of technological innovation and institution guarantee. Lastly, China should seize the global economic opportunity to rationalize the process of its commodity trade structure through the going-out strategy.
