From 1983 Miller presented corporate entrepreneurship(CE), many scholars have focused on the concept of CE, motivation of internal entrepreneurs. But there was lack of research on the micro level; however, it is hard to instruct enterprise practice. In this paper, writer hopes to study how enterprises run CE from the micro level, by the Lenovo Group as an example. Writer firstly went through the development history of the CE and determined the concept of CE for this paper. And then, the regular pattern was summarized through analyzing the successful cases of IT companies. In this paper, writer used semi-structure survey method and then interviewed several decision makers and participants of Lenovo and other companies. The latest status of Lenovo CE was restored through sorting the survey and interview data. Compared Lenovo’s mechanism with other IT company’s and with its target, writer tried to find out the issues of Lenovo CE.Writer found that the key factors of successful of CE were whether the mechanism can support to realize the target, including the selection way of project, independence running, resource guarantee, and safety for entrepreneur, and good incentives. Lenovo Group’s mechanism cannot well support realizing the target because it lack of cross function, inadequate resource, worse incentives and no unified platform of Group. In the end, writer provided solution to improve and fix these issues.
