Research On Impacts Of Service FDI To Exports Of Trade In Services

In the background of economic globalization, China’s foreign direct investment(FDI) and services trade flourish, FDI has also gradually turned to service industry, whether there is some relationship between services FDI and exports of trade in services or not? This paper is rightly going to study around the theme of “Impacts of Services FDI to Exports of Trade in Services”.The paper firstly reviews the research achievements about services FDI、trade in services and the relationship between them. Secondly, the paper analyses the specific route of services FDI promoting exports of trade in services, including direct path and indirect path. The direct path is that the enterprises of services FDI export their services by service outsourcing, the indirect one is that services FDI enhances the competitiveness of service industry, thus contributes the exports of trade in services. The third part is the empirical part, there’re two parts in it. The first part is the empirical analysis of services FDI impacting exports of trade in services, the second part is the subsectors study of representative industries, including transportation industry、tourism industry and financial services industry. Conclusions are as follows:(1) The structure of services FDI is gradually improving;(2) Services FDI and exports of goods play a positive role in promoting exports of trade, and goods exports has a greater promoting effect;(3) Transportation、tourism and financial services industries are promoted by services FDI, and the promoting effect weakens in turn;(4) Services FDI and goods trade are two key factors in influencing trade in services. Finally, the paper, combining with theoretical mechanism、the development of services FDI and services trade and the empirical conclusions, made the following suggestions:(1) Adjust the industry structure of FDI, so that more foreign capital may flow to service industry;(2) Optimize the internal structure of domestic service industry, give priority to modern service industry;(3) Promote goods trade and exports of trade in services in coordination;(4) Deepen the opening degree of service market, enhance the competitiveness of service industry.
