With the rapid development of China’s economy and the continuous improvement of the market economic system, tne environment faced by the construction industry is undergoing tremendous changes. It has become one of the hot topic about how to promote the development of domestic construction industry better and better and how to enhance the competitiveness of the construction industry. In this paper, taking the construction industry as the object of the research and establishing the formation mechanism model of the growth index based on the relevant literature review on the competitiveness. Combined with structural equation and system dynamics model to analyze and evaluate the competitiveness model. This paper use Support vector machine to predict the competitiveness’ s trend of construction industry.With the data of provincial construction industry to simulate the model and put forward the corresponding countermeasures.This article’s achievements mainly includes:(1) Review the research results of the construction industry competitiveness from three aspects which inciudes industry competitiveness theory、research methods and research status, and then sort out the relationship among various factors which effect the construction industry competitiveness.Based on this, introduces structural equation theory into industrial competitiveness theory and combines with the characteristics of Chinese construction industry itself, building a model which influences industry competitiveness, including operating conditions、the efficiency of industrial production、factors of production and auxiliary industries,explores the formation mechanism of competitiveness;(2) It has some subjective problems when the system dynamics determine the releationship between indicators traditionally, in order to solve this, based on the structural equation model, transforming the static structural equation model into dynamics competitiveness model by using the method of system dynamics for simulation and analysis of the construction industry competitiveness;(3) Using the method of PCA-SVM(principal component analysis-support vector machine) to calculate the main factor contribution value of the index system and factor score in the provinces under the condition of four factors. The paper defines the value of construction industry competitiveness as management status product the efficiency of industry production and chooses 29 provinces out of 31 provinces as the training set, at the same time takes gaungxi and sichuan provinces as the test set, compare the result of four group of different parameter. The result shows that SVM has achieved satisfactory effect and the accuracy is high. It also shows SVM can be used to predict the trend of construction industry competitiveness.;(4) Based on the situation of sichuan’s construction industry, compare the development status of five different provinces and provide guideance to the balanced development of regional construction industry. At the same time, a competitiveness system dynamics model is estsblished can be used for the dynamics analysis of provincial construction industry competitiveness in this paper, provide guidance to the mechanism of promoting competitiveness.
