Abstract/Summary:
Agriculture is the foundation of national economy, and food is a basis of the foundation. There is not unrest without agriculture, nor is there stability without food. Food production has always been attached great concern by the party and the government. Henan Province, as the first major grain-producing province, has made important contributions to the national food security in recent years. Along with population increase and the accelerated industrialization process, however, food production in Henan Province is facing many new problems which have severely restricted the further increase of food output. In this artical,on the basis of the reasearch about the elements of the grain production at home and broad, we choose the factors like the amount of chemical fetilizer,the area of sowing,the total power of mechanical in agriculure,the efficient areas of irrigation,rural laor force and the damage area as the explanation varible through the discribtion of the change of grain production in Henan since Reform and Opening-up.We pick up the 10 year’s data( from 2000-2009) that influence the food production in Henan and make a model of grain production applying the knowledge of Econometrica.After the processing of Eviews5.0,we could find the main factors to the grain production by means of the test and analysis about the result of the data.According to the main factors we find and combin with the related experience at domestic and overseas,we put foward sevral pointed suggest and countermeasures such as strengthen the protection of the cultivated land,boost the enthusiasm of the famers,enhance the development of the irrigation and water conservancy facilities and so on.
