With the wave of revolution and opening to outside world, under the macro internationalized circumstances, China has formed a diversified layout with state-owned company, private company and foreign investment company. In general, currently they have the same requirement; even they are different companies, which are the higher and higher request to the key factor of the company’s operation, the professional manager’s ability and capacity including a comprehensive request consisting of professional attitude, knowledge system and ability. However it is confronted that the professional managers in China are some good and some bad, they have their own certain advantage, and have the disadvantage from congenitally deficient, because the development is too quick and too anxious for success.In view of this, this article put forth efforts from systematic thinking style, and to have further empirical study of the current professional manager’s status. Based on the analysis to raise improvement tactic for professional manager systematically.First, the article elaborates the concept of professional manager and the practice and theory study of overseas and mainland professional managers systematically. Through literature research the difference of the concept and the practice and theory study of mainland and overseas manager are found. In the meanwhile, to make note on the three aspects, knowledge theory, capacity theory and career ethics to form a three-dimensional style.Second, through the literature search, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis methods to have further analysis and finds company’s ability and capacity requirement to professional manager pays more attention to ability performance. Therefore following the prospective, adaptable, representative and operable principles, professional manager’s ability and capacity evaluation model has been set up systematically with the opinions from guider teacher, specialists, which includes 21 words and 4 dimensions.Third, according to the Likert 5-point scale and the model, questionnaire has been started with professional managers from different trade and different position. Questionnaire’s reliability and validity is tested, which is to make the investigation result more realistic to show the real situation of the professional manager, so to increase the practical implications of this article. With the help of AHP analysis method, the weight coefficient and series of the main factors will be achieved. Therefore detailed conclusion and intuitive understanding will be reached.Finally, according to the PDCA circular theory, the improving tactic of spiral increase is raised. The method has operability and flexibility to adjust with different situation.In general, the article is with the basis of theory analysis, together with concrete example and mutual analysis tools to reach a kind of conclusion for reference. In the future the article will offer certain reference for the ability and capacity improvement of our country’s professional manager and relative study.
