| With the development of the global information age and popularization of the internet, the wireless and broadband Internet technology is a new trend in the communication and Internet industries. Wireless city, as one of essential ways to promote city informatization, becomes a key network construction project led by Chengdu City government. In 2009, Chengdu mobile company was entrusted by Chengdu committee and government with the task of construction and operation of “wireless Chengdu”. In July 2010, the project of “Wireless Chengdu” was successfully selected as one of the pilot projects of cross-strait industry cooperation, which is led by MIIT and participated by Taiwan office of the State Council, and national development and reform commission(NDRC). This project includes two parts, construction and `application of wireless city network. It has been completed for the preliminary construction of the trial network and management system. Until October 2013, Website’s traffic has received more than 54 million hits. Characteristic services such as movie ticket order online and mobile payment are widely welcomed by customers of wireless city network.This paper begins with the development background of the wireless city and research status at home and abroad, analysis the feasibility of wireless city construction. And the emphasis was on the operation mode of it, including environmental conditions, market segment, the value chain, etc. By combining theory with practice and analysis, Analyze the operational implementation and evaluation. Finally puts forward Suggestions for value enhancement and operation promotion.The purpose of this paper is to find the most suitable operation mode and evaluate the effectiveness of operation through qualitative and quantitative method. Second aim of this paper is to analyze and solve common problems of current operation and research operation mode of wireless city with sustainable development and enhanced market competitiveness. |
