Agri-tourism is a new agricultural industry which integrate wide range of services. Agri-tourism need a rational strategic planning by government and offer sightseeing, vacation, and entertainment experiences. Xi Jinping, chairman stressed that the way for agriculture is agricultural modernization in Hunan study. He said that Hunan should use the advantage of traditional agricultural culture, rich in resources, and goog basic conditions to seek new breakthroughs in the construction of modern agriculture. Some countries do not coordinate the "four modernizations" relationship, ignoring the modernization of agriculture. There has been shrinking agriculture, rural depression, poor farmers in these countries, leading to social unrest, economic stagnation and blocked modernization. This article study the contribution of agri-tourism for Changsha regional economic development. First, review the theory of agri-tourism and regional economic development, then analyzes the current situation of Changsha agri-tourism and regional economic growth, then use data from 2002 to 2013, empirical analysis the affecting for agri-tourism on the regional economy growth. Finally, give some policy recommendations based on conclusions. The conclusions for this paper:Changsha make a healthy and stable development of the economy relying on agri-tourism, promoting industrialization and urbanization of Changsha, optimizing the industrial structure. Agri-tourism make the primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry been upgraded.The proportion of the annual income of rural residents is growing. The service revenue has become a major component of income. The total annual income of farmers have substantial growth. Policy recommendations in this paper:First, strengthen government support and guide the agri-tourism. Second, rational distribution planning, rich management products. Third, adding publicity, and strengthen marketing communications. Fourth, to train professionals to improve the quality of service. Fifth, improve facilities, the introduction of agricultural equipment.
