Evaluation Of Sustainable Development Of Taiyuan Urban Complex Ecosystem Based On Emergy Analysis

With the rapid development of science and technology since the Industrial Revolution in the eighteenth century, the ways of lie have been improved greatly, and then a series o problems of urbanization sprang out.One city is a national or raginal center whose population is highly concentrated.Its gets prosperity socially and economically,frequent communication culturally. For China, she has the same case with the rapid development that resources cannot be susainably used,and ecological environment is destroyed, which are closely related with urbanization. With increasing people came to realize the importance of healhy development of cities, especially the sustainable development of coplex ecosystem of ciies. The countermeasure study focus on the problems during development of cities. For example, the sustainable of government decision in long strategy.Taiyuan is one of the earliest industrial base in China. However,its economy developed relatively slow since the end of thetwentieth century. Then it appears a series of problems ofurbanization in both ecology and environment. The evaluation ofsustainable development of complex ecosystem of Taiyuan isneeded here, to provide the basis of theory of adjusting ecologicalenvironment and developing in both society and economy, whichcan provide reference to measuring similar ecological system.In this paper, the author uses emergy analysis to getquantitative data on complex ecosystem of Taiyuan. To make sure itis fit to the fact, the emergy sustainability index was improvedduring the process of analysis. Combining static and dynamicanalysis, the author measures the use of complex ecosystem inTaiyuan from2004to2013. The grey prediction model is used ofpredict the sustainable development index from2014to2018. Themain findings are here as follows.1)Calculating the urban complex ecosystem emergy ofTaiyuan city in2013,established the flow of index system ofemergy indicators, obtains the total usage of system emergy is1.17×1023sej, renewable resource emergy is1.24×1021sej,accounted for only1.05%, nonrenewable resources is1.03×1023sej, which constitute the largest total percent88%, the flow ofmoney emergy is2.15×1024sej, which the imports of emergy is1.27×1022sej, the export of emergy is4.59×1022sej, the emergy ofGDP is2.09×1024sej, accounting for cashflow emergy97.2%.Taiy-uan emergy structure is reasonable and the self-sufficiency abilityemergy is strong.2) Comparing with other areas according to the emergy indexsystem of Taiyuan, the rate of self-sufficiency emergy, the rate ofdollar emergy is much higher than other countries andregions,reflecting that the development of city is rely onlocal resources. the rate of power emergy and per capitaemergy is far lower than the average level in our country and thedeveloped countries. shows that the per capita of livinglevel and quality still needs to be improved, the rate ofenvironmental loading continued to rise, leading the hindrance ofsustainable development of the city.3)According to the dynamic changes of emergy index andsustaninable development index system analysis, the total emergyand nonrenewable emergy was increased year by year, theinput emergy and renewable emergy changes smoothly, indicatesthat the economic growth of Taiyuan city mainly rely onlocal resources, the sustainable development index system of ESI decreased year by year,in2004is weak sustainability,from2005to2009is the weak unsustainablility,from2010to2013is nonsustainablility, the data show that the system is.4)According the level of emergy sustainable development inTaiyuan from2014to2018from the gray predictionmodel, the risk of the system development and the pressure ofecology is increased, even though the economy is developingin the future. Taiyuan will be weak in sustainable development.
