The Study Of Regional Industrial Division Evolution Based On The Mechanism Between Endogenous Variables And Exogenous Variables

The structure problem is the most important issue to be resolved during the12th Five YearPlan, and the division of the main functional areas presents a more realistic requirement for theregional industrial division upgrading. As an optimization development area of national level, therealization of the regional industrial division upgrading is a main way to solve the structureproblem of Shandong Province. As the main factors affecting the regional industrialdivision evolution, the analysis and research of the mechanism is conducive to explore the deepmechanism of affecting the evolution of regional industrial division and the effective ways ofoptimizing the allocation of regional industrial structures, in order to provide theoretical supportsfor the optimization and adjustment of industrial structures.This paper did the study on the evolution of regional industrial division on the mechanismbetween endogenous variables and exogenous variables of17cities and main economicregions of Shandong Province (the blue economic zone of Shandong Peninsula, the YellowRiver delta efficient ecological economic zone, provincial capital city group economic circle,Lunan Economic Belt and so on), and explored the mechanism between endogenous variablesand exogenous variables of regional industrial division evolution. This paper drew conclusionsare summarized below:(1) The endogenous variables affecting the regional industrial division evolution includetechnology and innovation, scale economy and monopoly competition, and the exogenousvariables include factor endowments, geographical conditions and the relationship betweenregions, the role of government. The mechanism of realizing regional industrial divisionevolution can be simply summarized as raising the level of regional specialization production byendogenous variables and through the flow and allocation of factor endowments by exogenousvariables.(2) The evolution of the industrial structure can be divided into three stages since thefounding of new China and the regional industrial division evolution can be divided into sevenstages according to the previous five year plan after the reform and opening up of Shandong Province in the view of time. The characteristics of manufacturing regional industrialdivision evolution in Shandong Province are that industrial division has regional characteristicsand industry division of regional differences in the view of space.(3) Through the regression models on the manufacturing industry of Shandong province, theresults of mechanism analysis on regional industrial division evolution are different fromexpectations. It mainly reflects in the way that scale economy and monopoly competition, therelationship between the location conditions and interregional fail to promote regional industrialdivision, and the role of government reflects the little effect. In the cross variable analysis, thedifferences are more obvious.The innovations of this paper reflect on defining the endogenous variables and exogenousvariables based on location theory, industrial agglomeration theory, the industrial division oflabor theory, regional system of man-land relationship theory and evolutionary economics theorytheoretically, exploring the mechanism of endogenous and exogenous variables by comparingregional industrial division evolution of different times and spaces methodically, putting forwardthe countermeasure of regional division of industry upgrading, the relevant policy suggestionsand prospects for further research on the upgrading and optimization of China’s regionalindustrial division practically.There are three main problems of regional industrial division evolution of ShandongProvince, including the large differences in regional industrial structure, the uneven spatialdistribution of regional industrial division and the uncoordinated effects between endogenousvariables and exogenous variables. The countermeasures to realize the upgrading of the regionalindustrial division are enhancing the innovation abilities, strengthening regional exchanges,improving the regional environments, highlighting the regional characteristics, perfecting thesystem of government and so on. This paper has shortages in variables division, study depth,industries choice, and needs further study.
