Food safety has become one of the hottest topics in recent years in China. With the rapid growth in number of Chinese middle class, and constantly exposed food safety problems, more and more consumers who have adequate food and clothing paid more attention to the quality of food. The current market situation has brought the develop opportunities for those enterprises that have global mind and a vertical integration vision. China Huishan Dairy Holdings’ business model covers the entire value chain and connects all links to fully grasp and product traceability by vertical integration; it successfully went public in Hong Kong at the end of 2013. This paper is focused on how could Huishan better develop the market as a listing corporation; how could Huishan initiate innovation in business model with good market prospects; how could Huishan improve market share and visibility compete with its competitors in the same industry and how could Huishan initiate new profit growth point to maximize the interests of its shareholders.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is to identify the research target and why it’s chosen, and to introduce the study method, innovation and deficiencies of this paper are summarized.The second chapter is to review the history of vertical integration of Huishan dairy and to identify the challenging factors need to be dealt with in order to further grow its market share.The third chapter is to analysis the political, economic, and cultural factors of the dairy industry from the macroscopic angle, meanwhile analysis the top 4 competitors within dairy industry.The fourth chapter is to use SWOT method to analyze the status of its business operations, to further elaborate Huishan’s strength, weakness, opportunities and threats are facing.The fifth chapter is to find solutions to Huishan’s problem through benchmarking by running a comparison on the four main business sectors between Huishan and Shuanghui, who has successful experience in the implementation of vertical integration and globalization.Description, analysis and comparison of the former five chapters, is to find ways for Huishan to profit and maintain sustainable development. The sixth chapter further put forward the concrete strategy and proposed target, and focuses on how to achieve each goal specifically.
