| With reform and opening, and the sustainable development of social economy, tourism is no longer the exclusive activity of the aristocracy, but gradually becoming a part of the national daily life of leisure. Tourism industry is getting into the popularization development stage. From political career to economic strategic pillar industry and the people more satisfied modern service industries, the position of tourism industry has a qualitative leap.Efficiency is one of the important indicators to measure the economic activity, reflecting efficient allocation of resources. Tourism is a highly comprehensive and correlation of compound industry, including hotels, travel agencies, scenic spots, tourist transportation and many other industries. And it doesn’t like Industrial manufacturing with a clear relationship between input and output. So research on economic efficiency of tourism industry has a certain theoretical and practical significance, to maximize benefits of the tourism industry.The paper consists of theory and empirical part. Theory part is the research foundation of empirical. It expounds the research background, concept and theoretical basis, the DEA model and evaluation index of. And to explore in the index selection, select person-time of tourism, tourist income as output index, star-rated hotels and A level scenic spots, travel agencies, tourism practitioners, passenger turnover as input index, try to put transportation into evaluation system of efficiency.The empirical study using data envelopment analysis(DEA) method, evaluates efficiency of tourism industry in Hunan province combined with CCR and BCC model, with datas: 2001-2014. It gives comprehensive evaluation conclusions from comprehensive efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency, input redundancy, etc. Results show that the comprehensive efficiency of tourism industry exsits a growth trend, but not high overall in Hunan province; obvious difference between decomposition efficiency, pure technical efficiency contributes more greatly than the scale efficiency to the development of tourism industry; low scale efficiency seriously, is in a stage of scale increasing returns; pure technical efficiency still has room to improve. The paper explores the influence factors of tourism industry efficiency further, with tobit model, from five aspects: the economic level, the development scale of service industry, the fixed asset investment, the conditions of tourism transportation, tourist location quotient. Finally, it puts forward some countermeasures to improve, the tourist enterprise scale, the modernization of tourism enterprise management, wisdom construction of tourist industry, tourism infrastructure facilities, etc. |
