A Comparative Study Of The Influence Of Process Of Marketization For Upgrading Of Industrial Structure In Eastern And Western Areas

China has witnessed increasingly improved marketization degree since reform and opening-up. With economic development, the process of industrial structure upgrading is also constantly boosted; and great progress has achieved in researches on marketization process and industrial structure upgrading. However, the influence of marketization process on industrial structure upgrading is still inexplicit. Corresponding researches should be deepened continuously during China’s current stage, an important historical process for improving socialist market economic system, for the purpose of providing theoretical basis for boosting China’s economic level and improving socialist market economy system.In this paper, firstly, the author summarizes the researches both home and abroad, expounds the theory of related models the connotations of marketization and industrial structure upgrading as well as researches related to measure of marketization process and industrial structure upgrading. Then the paper analyses the process and characteristics of China’s marketization process and industrial structure upgrading. In Chapter Four, a new set of evaluation index system for marketization process is built. Some approaches are selected to measure industrial structure. In Chapter Five, the paper collects and sorts out the basic data of ten years from2004to2013, carries out calculation on the basic data by means of overall factor analysis method, and performs unary linear regression for comprehensive score of marketization process and indexes of industrial structure upgrading obtained from overall factor analysis method by using linear regression analysis. It then draws a conclusion that marketization process plays a role of positive push for industrial structure upgrading. Through comparative analysis on various elements according to result of overall factor analysis, the problems existing in marketization process in eastern and western areas are obtained. According to the paper, the marketization in the western areas is relatively lower than that in the eastern areas, and the major performance lies in three aspects of the higher economic degree dominated by the government, underdeveloped non-state-owned economy and lower revenue quality. Based on analysis as above, Chapter Six puts forward countermeasures and thoughts to boost industrial structure upgrading in western areas from the point of marketization, and points out the deficiencies and improvement measures of the research at the same time.
