With the development of the quality of life and community development, thedemand for housing focus more on upgrading the standards of living and thecorresponding ecological environment, rather than simply have a house to live.Atpresent, the housing stock in China has already reached a certain upper limit, and thetrading of upgraded housing stock began to brisk.Therefore, under the premise ofrevitalizing the stock market, coordinating with the incremental market, how to build anew comfortable place to live should be on the agenda/scheduled.In this context,on thebasis of theoretical analysis,this paper take the old barracks area in Taiyuan as a casestudy.Based on the status quo research of the residential district, and under theguarantee of unremoving the original house, this case will be upgraded by taking aseries of measurements, such as the transformation of interior structure, increasing theliving space, the use of energy-saving materials, etc.The purpose is to conduct acomprehensive transformation of the housing stock so that the basic functions will bemore perfect, the supporting services for life will be more robust, and the livingenvironment will be more harmonious, and thus could achieve the effect of a morecomfortable place to live.This will not only make the continuation of these residentialhouse and the smriti of cultural heritage but also remedy the high prices of newly builthouses, thereby could conservation of resources.The main contributions of this paper is as follows:(1)Homes were upgraded with the stock of residential construction as an object.From the research perspective,this paper detailly analyzes the new requirementsof the real estate in the new urbanization, and elaborate the relevance between them,then take Taiyuan city as the background of this research to study the quality upgradingof the residential housing stock in order to promote and develop the property in Taiyuan,which is a relatively new perspective.(2)Build the new housing upgrading requirements and criteria.This paper put forward some demands for new homes under the premise of thenew requirements of residential housing stock in the new urbanization.The study will beassessed on the economic, feasibility and planning effects under the status quo of theold barracks area. (3)Put forward four plates need to be upgraded are community facilities, residentialexternal monomer, residential interior and the perfect community.Through the analysis of comprehensive residential housing stock market inTaiyuan, this paper selects the typical characteristics case of the old barracks area forcase study, basing on the analysis of its current situation and shortcomings in the actualinterviews and investigation, then studying the upgrading research through four plateswhich are community facilities, residential external monomer, residential interior andperfect communities, putting forward some purposeful technologies and the feasibilityof the scheme in order to achieve the effect of perfect housing.
