Under this circumstance, the focus of academic circles also gradually shifted from attracting foreign investment to the field of outward foreign direct investment, and focusing on foreign direct investment’s impact on home country’ s industrial structure. At the same time, with the gradual loss of manufacturing low cost advantage and industrialization of new trends in developed countries, our country’ s manufacturing appeared excess capacity and in urgent need of the dual contradiction of the transformation and upgrading. Based on the structure of manufacturing industry in China as this research’s object, the theoretical analysis and empirical analysis on the basis of the combination of join the case analysis, on our country’s outward foreign direct investment can promote our country manufacturing industry structure’s optimization, two different kinds of outward foreign direct investment on the impact of industrial structure rationally and highly has carried on the related research.On the basis of existing research, this article summarizes how did the outward foreign direct investment affect the industrial structure optimization of the related literature at home country and abroad, then summarizes outward foreign direct investment on the general mechanism of the influence of the manufacturing industry structure optimization, and then on the basis of investment development degree of different classifying outward foreign direct investments, by modifying the wealth, the standard structure model constructs the evaluation factors affect the level of manufacturing industry structure optimization degree of econometric model, using the manufacturing output, high technology industry output value, the internal manufacturing R&D spending, manufacturing employment data such as measure of manufacturing industrial structure rationally and highly evaluation indexes, to measure the manufacturing industry structure optimization.
