Research On The Economic Effect Evaluation And Counternieasures On The Scale Breeding Policy Of Dairy Cattle

Since2007, the Chinese government has issued “State Council on the promotion ofsustainable and healthy development of dairy industry” and “dairy industry consolidation andrevitalization plan” to encourage large-scale breeding of cows. There has been a differentscale farming cows in different zone driven by the market and the policy, how about theimplementation effect of the policy, this is a topic worthy of further study.Therefore, this paper based on the size of China’s dairy breeding policy, three major milkproducing areas of owners (Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Hebei) represented, using policyassessment model to assess the economic impact from the perspective of economic efficiencyand productivity on four different dairy farming breeding patterns-free-range, small-scale,medium-scale, large-scale. Expecting to provide some suggestions for the Government toformulate relevant policies.Through the analysis, founding that there are some problems on scale breeding, forexample: poor benefit, low pure technical efficiency, unstable average selling price and so on.So suggesting the government to improve national policies, establish a price mechanism,invest the technology, and standardize feeding management to promote better development ofChina’s dairy farming:...
