Research On The Mechanism For Industrial Clusters Promote To The Development Of Urbanization

Industry cluster is the industry presents the regional cluster development trend;urbanization is refers to a natural process of social history that the rural populationconstantly to cities and towns, secondary and tertiary industries keep gathering to thetowns, that make the number of cities and towns steadily increasing, the urbanpopulation size and geographical scale is continually expanding. Therefore,development of industrial clusters and urbanization is mutually reinforcingrelationship. But in the case of study, theoretically researched on industrial clusters,rural urbanization were more, and the study of relevance to both is lagging behind. Inpractice, the development of industrial clusters and the process of urbanization isunbalanced in different regions in China. Such as Zhejiang, its urbanization level isinseparable from the promotion of industrial clusters.Since The Eighteenth NationalCongress of the CPC, urbanization has become a direct indicator of China’s moderndevelopment and economic growth. How to explore the mutually reinforcingmechanisms to promote urbanization and industrial clusters common development isworth studying.Firstly, on the basis of study of the theoretical literature, this article analyzedtheoretically on interactive development mechanism between industrial clusters andurbanization, and construct a theoretical model; then constructed evaluation indexmeasure of industrial clusters and urbanization, measure out the degree of industrialclusters and urbanization in the years of2003-2012in Zhejiang Province. On thisbasis, using stata12.0statistical analysis software to study the mechanism of industrialclusters promote to the development of urbanization as well as urbanization promoteto the development of industrial clusters for the use of two-step GMM estimationmethod in Zhejiang Province.Through out of the empirical results testing, the study concluded that:(1)Industrial clusters through by elements concentration, industrial structural transitionand improving the competitiveness of urban to promote the development ofurbanization;(2) The improvement of trade openness、the development of agricultural modernization and the support from government in Zhejiang Province has asignificant role in promoting urbanization;(3) Urbanization through endowments,social needs and improving the competitiveness of industrial clusters promote thedevelopment of industrial clusters;(4) The government support, trade openness andenterprise scale have significantly positive effects on the development of industrialclusters in Zhejiang Province;(5) An unstable foreign direct investment is notconducive to the development of industrial clusters and urbanization in ZhejiangProvince. According to the empirical results, this paper put forward relevant proposalsto industry clusters and urbanization development in Zhejiang Province.
