ABSTRACT:Along with the development of Internet technology, the Internet of things has gradually become new icon and gone into people’s horizons. Internet of things technology is promoting the world economy to develop towards the direction of the information industry. Based on the Internet connection, the Internet of things has facilitated linking people with goods, from computer-based industrial application in the very beginning to current global application in logistic management by every industry. Internet represents the development direction of the next generation information technology. Internet of things could connect goods with computers by using sensing equipment and realize intelligent management, greatly reduce safety accidents and save the production and operations cost for enterprises.Z enterprise is one of the largest integrated energy and chemical company in China, is China’s largest oil and main petrochemical products’manufacturer and supplier. Z’s business scope covers raw materials’ procurement, chemical production, product transportation and storage, product sales, etc. and has formed a complete and complicated supply chain. Among them, the logistics business focuses on the whole process of chemical products’ sales, covering from products’ leaving factory to the transportation, warehousing and delivery to the customer. Chemical product logistics is characterized by complexity, professionalism and danger due to great number of products and various requirements of packaging, transportation mechanism. Professional personnel and special equipment are required in chemicals production, storage and transportation. The safety management is even more important in the whole process, any accident could be detrimental to the community and have a great influence in society. At the same time, chemical market is free and highly competitive, the logistics service level can affect customer loyalty. Therefore, Z emphasizes on the logistics management of chemical products.Value activity includes activities occurring in material and technical form in the enterprise. For the logistics industry, the basic value chain activities include packaging, transportation, storage, loading and unloading, customer service, supporting activities include logistics infrastructure construction, information processing, human resource management, system integration. Every activity contains three components to create value-direct activities, indirect activities and quality assurance activities. Logistics field is the most realistic area in applying Internet technology. Internet of things can further enhance the level of logistics’s intelligence, information management and automation, promote functional integration. It has a positive impact to monitor the whole process of the chemical products’logistic services such as "personnel","vehicles","goods","route","storage". This article attempts to evaluate the application of the Internet of things in logistic management in Z corporation through theoretical analysis on application value of Internet and combining the design of Internet application scheme in Z company.
