Research Of Agricultural Extension System Construction Gong Ga County Tibet

Agricultural extension is involved in rural social education and advisory activities, which ought toenhance the economy of rural people. There were three features: educational nature, social nature, andlong-term nature. In order to solve problem in agricultural extension of Tibet, we must coordinate thedepartment’s administrative operations, deepen its mechanism reform, and provide agriculturaltechnique services. Finally, it would promote the development of agricultural economy in the NewPeriod. Gonggar County, Shannan area, Tibet, is one of the important agricultural production area. InGonggar County, agriculture plays an important role in economy and social development. Therefore,government needs to strengthen agricultural extension to promote comprehensive ability and raiseincomes. However, agricultural extension had been neglected for a long time, there was a littleresearches on Agricultural extension theory and investigation. Generally, agricultural extensionprograms were inefficient.A questionnaire and interview study was conducted, in order to describe characterization and issuesof agricultural extension in Tibet. The aim of this research was to provide a theoretical basis foragricultural extension of Gonggar County, improve policy and law with innovative ideas, and establish acomprehensive agricultural extension system.It was gratifying that participatory training method in agricultural extension was highly acceptable,because it based on equal dialogue between trainers and trainees, and it helped the farmers andherdsmen become a team, which made each one to learn consciously. Ultimately, it led the farmers andherdsmen establish sense of ownership, confidence, and responsibility. It is benefit for the developmentof economic and their own.
