Countermeasures Study On The Development Of Sericulture Industry In Haining

Sericulture of our country is a traditional competitive industry, occupies an important position in the global sericulture production, and has made a great contribution to the rural and agricultural development of our country. As one of major silkworm area in Zhejiang Province, even in our country, Haining has a long history of sericulture.In this paper we analyze the current sericulture situation at home and abroad and the sericulture development background of Haining, and on this basis, make in-depth investigation and analysis, and find that the sericulture industry of Haining city has suitable natural environment, a long industrial history and a favorable industrial base and other advantages, and thus has made significant progress. But there still exist some problems, such as:(1) sericulture industry is of small business scale, mainly in small-scale household sideline operation and with poor ability to resist risks;(2) sericulture production mainly in the traditional manual way, with low degree of specialization, a serious shortage of manpower and rising labor costs;(3) sericulture service system lags behind the development of modern sericulture industry, the service system is imperfect, technological innovation is scarce, home-entry rates of technologies are low, the market adaptability and organizational degree of sericulturists is low;(4) Cocoon purchase mechanism is scarce and phenomena of personal trading are flooding, so that cocoon market is disordered, cocoon acquisition system in which the high quality and favorable price are implemented has not been set up, and the income of sericulturists is instable;(5) Sericulture production has serious waste of resources, with low utilization and some safety problems;(6) the attention paid to sericulture industry is not enough, the investment in sericulture production is not enough, industrial development is stagnating or even shrinking, and the industry chain is short, has limited expansion capability, and othersAgainst the problems in the sericulture industry development of Haining, through in-depth investigation and analysis, we propose the following countermeasures and methods.(1) to rationalize sericulture production mechanism, correctly position roles and responsibilities of government and market players, value and increase preferential policies and financial support in order to provide security for the transformation and upgrading of sericulture industry;(2) to strengthen scientific and technological innovation, focusing on the breeding and promotion of high-quality disease-resistant silkworm eggs, the introduction and cultivation of high-yielding varieties of mulberry, the development of new technologies and new methods of juvenile silkworm rearing, and the development and production of efficient pesticides, fully draw on the advanced successful experience of various regions, strengthen popularization and promotion;(3) to establish a modern production and operation system for sericulture industry, strive to develop specialized cooperatives of sericulture, cultivate new type bodies, develop scale operation, train large or specialized households of sericulture, carry out modest scale operation;(4) to expand the industrial chain, enhance the development and utilization of sericulture byproducts, improve resource utilization and overall effectiveness of sericulture;(5) to combine with the building of famous cultural tourism cities on the Yangtze River Delta, explore sericulture cultural heritage, develop sericulture tourism and create special industry.
